FDE cancels recruitment plan

In a sudden move, which many see with suspicion, the Federal Directorate of Education has cancelled the elementary school teacher recruitment plan.

The FDE, which oversees all government-run schools in the city, had published an advertisement in national newspapers on January 31 seeking applications for the appointment of 322 elementary teachers to government schools in Islamabad Capital Territory. It, however, withdrew the advert within 24 hours of its publication.
