RSS gets social responsibility award

The Roots School System (RSS) has received 8th Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Business Excellence Award for the year 2016 in the category ‘Public Health/Safety Initiatives and Education’ at a CSR Summit organised here by the National Forum of Environment and Health (NFEH).
The award acknowledged Roots School System’s contribution towards serving humanity, education, health and community development. The award was received by Colonel (r) Mushtaque Rasul Chaudhry, CEO of RSS and Founder and Chairperson Roots Educational Welfare Society. The award was presented by Minister for Information & Broadcasting Pervaiz Rasheed and Minister of Defence Production Rana Tanveer Hussain.
The organisation Al Sheikh Al Syed Ali Bin Usman Ali Hajvairy ‘Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh Community’ (HDGBCO) outreach is founded by Colonel (r) Mushtaque Rasul Chaudhry. It is a not-for-profit, non-governmental and non-partisan organisation that has adopted a multifaceted approach for serving humanity by arranging and organising eye camps, medical camps and providing ration to the poor. HDGBCO is committed to the alleviation of human suffering and the improvement of the quality of life for urban and rural residents.
The objectives of HDGBCO are to address challenges, issues and problems of urban and rural areas. The organisation also extends assistance to poor families by providing sustenance and looking after the education of the orphaned children and to overcome poverty and injustice. It also provides healthcare services to the destitute and disaster stricken communities with a focus on women and children in the impoverished parts of Pakistan. The motto of HDGBCO is ‘The best way to find you is to lose yourself in the service of others.’
The award marks the recognition of Roots belief in paying back to the community at large, especially in the areas of health and youth development. Roots reaffirmed its pledge on the occasion that sustainability for a corporate entity lies in being useful to the society and serving the needy segments by taking up responsibilities outside its business spectrum
