Peshawar, Lahore Motorways opened for traffic
Islamabad: Peshawar-Islamabad and Islamabad-Lahore Motorway has been opened for traffic as visibility has improved.
Visibility on Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway was 100 meters, while it was 300 meters from Islamabad to Bhera, 100 meters each on Pindi Bhattian to Faisalabad and Faisalabad to Gojra sections of the Motorway, state run TV reports.
The Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway-1 has been opened for traffic by the National Highway and Motorway Police following an improvement of visibility and overall weather condition. According to Motorway Police (M-I) has been opened and traffic was diverted from GT Road to Motorway for facilitation of general public.
Motorway was closed for few hours last night due to dense fog and zero visibility on Peshawar-Swabi section.
Motorists were advised to remain careful while driving on Motorway especially during night and maintain lane discipline in their own interest.
