Zardari arrives in London

LONDON: President Asif Ali Zardari, who arrived in London, two days ago, is busy meeting a selected few in unannounced meetings.Those who are near him include Dr Asim Hussain and Wajid Shasmul Hasan. Other staff of Pakistan High Commission know nothing about the details, schedules and events of the president’s visit.
Although officially it has been said that the president is visiting London for a private medical check-up but the president has yet to visit any hospital. The president arrived in London on a private jet from Doshanbe, accompanied by only his security staff.
A source at the hotel confirmed that many new people have been seen going up to the super-luxurious Royal Suite where the president is holed up. “We have not seen these people before, they are not regular customers. They haven’t booked any rooms and we believe they must be visiting our guests on invitation.” According to unconfirmed reports Mr Haqqani would have the president’s audience.
