Pakistan Army distributes rations in Tharparkar

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Army during the last one week has distributed 47 tons of rations in the drought-hit areas of Tharparkar, an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) news release here on Friday said.
The areas where rations were distributed include Chhor, Badin, Dali, Chachro and Nagarparker. Besides rations, various other commodities were also handed over to the inhabitants of these areas. These articles included 500 blankets, 195 quilts, 200 sleeping bags, 500 bed sheets and 300 pitchers.
Meanwhile, six mobile medical teams have provided medical assistance to over 4,000 people of the area. The Pakistan Army has initiated the process of providing ration and medical assistance to the drought-stricken people of Tharparkar on January 7.
