Meeting discusses census procedure

OKARA: The DCO Monday chaired a high-level meeting to discuss a strategy to hold a census in the district.
Additional District Collector Ijaz Munir, all assistant commissioners of three tehsils, the cantonment executive officer and Assistant Commissioner Census Dilbar Hussain also attended the meeting.
The DCO stressed the importance of census and houses census for social and economic progress in the country.
The meeting was told that some 3,217 government officials would complete the census, and the district has been divided into 494 urban areas blocks and 2058 rural areas blocks.
The participants were told that training of workers/officials would start in the first week of February 2016 and census and houses census would complete by March/April, 2016.
