An elderly woman died in a dispute over parking space in North Nazimabad’s Arfat Town on Friday. According to the Taimuria police, 72-year-old Banu, wife of Ismail, was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. SHO Farhad Shaikh said a man, Farhan, was parking his vehicle outside the victim’s house when she resisted and during the exchange of hot words, the suspect pushed her. She fell down on the road and fell unconscious. She was taken to a private hospital where the doctors pronounced her death. The woman was the mother of a cameraman of a private news channel.
The suspect managed to escape following the incident. The police said that the deceased and the suspect had a dispute over parking space a few days ago but the neighbouring people resolved the issue. The family of the deceased woman was yet to register a case while an investigation was under way, the police added.
