PHA Independence Day activities
LAHORE:Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) has finalised its plans to celebrate the Independence Day of the country in a befitting manner. In this regard, PHA DG Jawad Ahmad Qureshi has convened an emergency meeting of all directors at PHA headquarters here on Thursday.
PHA DG Jawad Ahmad Qureshi while talking to the officers regarding preparations for Independence Day and Monsoon Tree Planting Campaign said that Prime Minister Imran Khan would inaugurate the largest Miyawaki forest in Pakistan. He said, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar will launch the Monsoon Tree Planting Campaign on August 2 while PHA will plant 500,000 trees under this campaign. DG PHA said that PHA would hold various events for the tree planting campaign from August 1 to August 7.
