‘Operation to curb crimes to continue’

LAHORE: A meeting of Punjab police and FIA reviewed the targets given by FATF to eradicate money laundering in detail at Central Police Office Lahore on Wednesday. Presiding over the meeting, the IG Punjab Inam Ghani said that the Punjab police, FIA and other national agencies would continue mutual operation against money laundering-related crimes. He said that Punjab Police had played its due role by fulfilling the targets set by FATF regarding money laundering. IG said that strict action would be taken against notorious occupation groups, drug dealers and criminals and against those involved in serious offenses including kidnapping for ransom under the Money Laundering Act.
