LAHORE: Humid weather with partly cloudy conditions was witnessed in Lahore on Monday while the Met office predicted similar weather conditions with chances of rain during the next 24 hours.
Met officials said that monsoon currents were penetrating in upper parts of the country and likely to strengthen during the next 24 hours. They predicted that a thunderstorm with isolated heavy fall was expected in Kashmir, Islamabad, northeast Punjab and upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. Hot and humid weather was likely to prevail over other parts of the country.
Rainfall was recorded in several cities, including Sialkot (City 50, A/P 46), Gujrat 24, Islamabad (Saidpur 15), Jhelum 06, Narowal 03 and Kotli 14. Monday’s maximum temperature was recorded at Sibbi where mercury reached 47°C while in Lahore, it was 33°C and minimum was 29.4°C.
