Watching the Tokyo 2020 Olympics is exhilarating. It is a treat to watch athletes from all over the world competing for gold medals. At the same time, one feels sad about Pakistan’s representation in the Olympics – in a country of more than 200 million people, only 10 athletes have participated in the much-celebrated Olympics. It is important to mention here that the country’s prime minister was a professional cricketer himself.
The national sport of our country is hockey; however, Pakistan’s hockey team didn’t even qualify for the event. What went wrong and who is responsible for the miserable condition of sports in the country? Our PM needs to address this and revamp all sports organisations.
