External threats

July 26, 2021

This refers to the news report ‘India, Israel behind hybrid war on Pakistan’ (July 21). Blaming India or any other country for the Dasu bus attack or other terror activities is of no use. The fault lies within us as we have known the designs of our enemies for the last 70 years. Since the victims of the Dasu tragedy were foreign nationals, it caught the attention of our leaders. Otherwise, such incidents have been happening in the country quite often, and except for statements of condemnation and vows of revenge, nothing has been done to strengthen security.

In August 2019, India unilaterally annexed occupied Kashmir and we continue to remain a silent spectator. India appears to be the main obstacle to Pakistan getting out of the grey list of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF). How long are we going to be bullied? A government’s condemnation or statements won’t solve the existing problem. If India or any other country can easily carry out attacks and have sleeper cells in Pakistan, why can’t we do the same? It is time our rulers wake up and act proactively.
