Islamabad : Terming the death of veteran journalist Arif Nizami the end of an era, former senator and patron-in-chief of the Institute of Policy Studies, Islamabad, Professor Khurshid Ahmad expressed deep grief and sorrow about it.
Highlighting his longstanding acquaintance with the deceased, Professor Khurshid said Arif
Nizami remained a member of the IPS-National Academic Council for
nearly six years and was a proven journalist, writer and newspaper editor, who was known for his remarkable understanding and grasp over contemporary issues.
"Arif Nizami will always be remembered for his exemplary services and invaluable contributions to the field of journalism and the void created by his departure will not be easy to fill," he said.
The former senator extended his deepest sympathies to the bereaved family and prayed to the Almighty Allah to rest the deceased soul in eternal peace.
