RAWALPINDI: The Karakoram Highway (KKH) has been opened for all types of traffic after relentless efforts by the Frontier Works Organization (FWO), the ISPR said on Friday.
The recent spell of heavy rains in Gilgit-Baltistan caused blockage of KKH with heavy mudflows at more than 20 locations between Tatta Pani and Raikot. During a challenging weather and terrain conditions, teams kept working round-the-clock to clear all blocked locations.
