Lightning strike kills three brothers in AJK

MUZAFFARABAD: Three brothers were killed and two other people of a family injured when lightning struck a house in Lari Mengal in Neelum Valley district on Monday.
Three brothers, namely Gulo son of Siraj Din, Naeem son of Siraj Din and Noor Din son of Siraj Din, were killed in a lightning strike at the residence of Siraj Din Rana at Katha Piran, Lari Mengal in the western part of Athmaqam.
While Siraj Din and his daughter Rubina were injured and shifted to District Headquarters Hospital, Athmaqam for medical treatment. According to locals, the house was burnt into ashes due to lightning strike. Meanwhile two other persons were killed in Serri Jhelum Valley District due to heavy land sliding.
