PESHAWAR: All Mobile Towers Guards Union on Saturday sought an increase in the salaries of the security guards.
Speaking at a news conference, the president of the union said they would stop working if their salary was not increased.
He said the security guards were getting Rs8000 per month salary, which was insufficient.
He said the government had fixed minimum wage at Rs21,000 in the recent provincial budget but the companies were unwilling to give them a pay raise.
Asking Minister for Labour Shaukat Yousafzai and relevant officials to order the cellular companies to increase their salaries.
