30 cases registered for illegal sale of gas

LAHORE : Lahore police Thursday registered 30 cases against illegal sale of gas. Around 13 cases were registered by Cantt division police, two by City division, three each by Civil Lines, Sadr division and Iqbal Town division and six cases were registered by Model Town division police. Lahore police registered 642 cases on illegal sale of gas in residential areas in the current year.

33 outlaws arrested: DIG Operations Lahore claimed that 33 members of 16 gangs involved in robberies and thefts were arrested this week. He said that stolen goods worth Rs1,165,000, including 18 motorcycles, one rickshaw and nine mobile phones were recovered from the accused.

bikes SEIZED: Factory Area police arrested three bike lifters and recovered eight stolen bikes from their possession. The accused have been identified as Moazam, Hamza and Akram.

Meanwhile, Misri Shah police arrested a drug pusher and seized chars weighing over 1kg from his possession. The accused, identified as Shahbaz, had a criminal record.

184 ACCUSED ARRESTED: CCPO Lahore Ghulam Mahmood Dogar said Lahore police arrested 184 accused in the current year with the help of various police software, including tenant registration system. According to the CCPO, Lahore police arrested 14 wanted criminals and 65 court absconders with the help of Hotel Eye software. Police registered 7,669 foreigners. With the help of Travel Eye software, 151,810 people were registered and 80 notorious criminals were arrested. Around 195,976 people were registered, 25 notorious criminals were arrested, 10 wanted criminals were caught and 12 absconders were arrested with the help of tenant registration software.

SSP: SSP Operations Lahore visited Defence A police station and inspected various parts of the police station, including front desk and reporting room.

He said that police officers should treat the complainants who came to the police station well.
