LAHORE : The students of Diploma Associates Engineering (DAEs) were given certificates at convocation held at Pakistan Industrial Technical Assistance Centre (PITAC) Lahore on Thursday. Engr Muhammad Irfan Zaheer, director general, PITAC, said PITAC had continued training unskilled workmen by starting demand-driven technical courses resulting in better income and employment opportunities for them. In this way, PITAC has directly contributed towards skill development for the SMEs and light engineering sector in accordance with the National Industrial Policy devised by the Ministry of Industries. He said that admissions were given in DAE Mechanical and Electrical subjects. He lauded the efforts of teachers. He said “It is our pride that our students are working in major industries of the countries.” PITAC is also rendering training Services to engineers, supervisors and technicians from a variety of industries throughout the country.
