CHAKDARA: On the directives of Chief Minister Mahmood Khan and provincial education Minister Shahram Khan Tarakai, the controller of examinations of Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE), Malakand, was removed from his post for allegedly facilitating his son in the ongoing matriculation examination.
The provincial government took swift action and sacked the controller for his alleged illegal activities to help his son in the examination.
It was reported that local journalists were visiting an examination hall in Chakdara when they found that a student identified as Saqib, the son of the controller of examinations of Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Mian Sajid Wazir Jan, was attempting paper in a separate room.
The reporters claimed that special arrangements had been made for the candidate and a helper had been provided to him to assist him in solving the paper.
The superintendent and other staff were not in the special room on duty during the paper.
Meanwhile, the students also held protest demonstrations outside the Chakdara and Timergara press clubs against the use of unfair means and facilitating the son of the controller and demanded a probe into the incident. They demanded strict action against the official and his son for allegedly using unfair means.
