Woman suffering from depression dies after jumping off 10th floor

A woman died on Sunday after falling off the tenth floor of a residential building in the Punjab Colony area.

According to police, the incident took place within the limits of the Frere police station. Upon receiving the information, police and rescue workers reached the site and transported the casualty to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medico-legal formalities where she was identified as 32-year-old Maria, daughter of Dr Kishan Kumar. SHO Waqar Tanoli said the family of the deceased woman told police that she committed suicide by jumping off the building. The family added that she was suffering from mental illnesses and committed suicide as a result of depression.
