Two injured in fire incident
LAHORE:City witnessed three different incidents of fire eruption on Thursday. The first incident was occurred in Shadman Market where two persons were injured when a fire broke out in a gas cylinder shop. On being informed, the rescuers rushed to the spot and pulled out the two survivors from the debris and shifted them to hospital. The injured were identified as Fiaz, 35, son of Aslam and Noman, 25, son of Abdul Aziz. The other two fire incidents took place in a chemical factory near Nainsukh Shahdara and a gas cylinder shop in Harbanspura area. Upon being informed, the firefighters rushed to the spots and extinguished the fire. No casualty was reported in the last two incidents.
roof collapse: A 30-year old woman and her minor daughter were injured when the roof of their house collapsed in Shahdara on Thursday. Upon being informed, the rescuers rushed to the spot and pulled out the two from the debris and shifted them to a hospital. The condition of the injured Khadija Bibi, wife of Waheed of Main Bazar Shahdara and her two-year-old daughter Umm-e-Habiba, was said to be out of danger.
FOUND DEAD: A 35-year-old man was found dead lying on the road near Samanabad Metro Train Station on Thursday. The man was identified as Jamaat Ali. He had been missing from home for two days. Police shifted the body to morgue.
RECOVERED: Defence C police arrested three bike lifters and recovered ten stolen bikes from their possession. The accused were identified as Alam, Rafique and Nasir. The accused used to steal unlocked bikes.
ARRESTED: Ravi Road Investigation police arrested two criminals involved in theft and pick-pocketing. The accused were identified as Tayyab Abbas and Hayatullah. Police recovered Rs300,000 cash and four cell phones from their possession.
ACCIDENT: Four persons were injured when a rashly-driven rickshaw overturned on Allama Iqbal Town Scheme More, Multan Road on Thursday. Police said that over-speeding had led to the accident. The injured were shifted to a hospital.
DRUG DEALERS: Lahore Operations Wing police arrested 16 drug dealers and registered cases against them. As per DIG Operations, around 1012 drug dealers were arrested and 994 cases were registered during the month of June. At least 3930 drug dealers were arrested and 3805 cases were registered during the current year. 172 cases were registered by City Division police, 247 by Cantt Division police, 87 by Civil Lines Division police, 181 by Sadar Division police, 132 by Iqbal Town Division police and 175 cases were registered by Model Town Division police.
YOUTH RECOVERED: Police found a missing youth and a teenage boy and handed over to their heirs. M Rashidi, 23 and M Omar, 13, residents of Shahdara, had left their houses unannounced due to domestic issues.
RESCUE 1122: The Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) responded to 885 Road Traffic Crashes in all 36 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours.
In these RTCs 08 people died, whereas 967 were injured. Out of this, 587 people were seriously injured who were shifted to different hospitals.
