Five commit suicide
SUKKUR: Five people, including a woman and her two children committed suicide on Wednesday in Sanghar and other areas of Sindh.
The woman, identified as Sughra Khaskheli, resident of village Ghulam Muhammad Dahari of district Sanghar, along with her one-year-old daughter Shabana and three-year-old son Yamin jumped into the Jamrao Canal, following a domestic spat. Her husband, Muhammad Bakhsh Khaskheli, jumped to save his wife and children but was swept away by the strong currents and was luckily saved by onlookers. Khaskheli told the police that he and his wife had quarrelled over a family issue and in utter frustration, his wife along with his two daughters jumped into the canal. Police are conducting further investigations.
In another tragedy, boy Abdullah, s/o Muhammad Bux Chandio, committed suicide over a domestic issue at Sakrand in district Benazirabad. Raichand Kolhi committed suicide in village Manjhi near Naukot in Tharparkar.
