Tiny tots of Anglo Arabic School graduate
Rawalpindi : Although lacking much of the regular fanfare associated with the graduation ceremonies of yester years due to prevailing COVID-19 pandemic, the Class 1 students for Session 2020-21 of Anglo Arabic Higher Secondary School graduated at the school premises at a simple but impressive ceremony.
Apart from Principal Manzoor Hussain, former principals, Nisar Nazish, Ch. Irshad Ahmed Khan and Finance Secretary, Anglo Arabic Higher Secondary School Old Boys Association, Ibad- ur-Rehman and Shazia Kanwal, head of the Montessori Wing of the school graced the ceremony with their presence.
Graduation is an exciting time, as it is both an ending and a new beginning. It was a day of pride for the graduating students, their parents and foremost the teachers who did all the hard work to make such young children understand the basics of education in their early lives particularly during the pandemic. The Class 1 students will now be starting off their academic journey in Junior Wing of the school. They were welcomed by their seniors from Girls Wing. The kids were served refreshments as well.
Shazia Kanwal, head Montessori Wing, delivered the welcome note in which she thanked the parents for sparing some moments from their precious time and attending such an important moment of their kids’ lives. She also thanked Team Anglo for its strenuous efforts in making the event successful.
Principal Manzoor Hussain pointed out the importance of junior education like class 1 and 2 like Montessori in the upbringing of a child. He was of the view that any shortcoming at this age was hard to overcome in later stages of education. He praised the patience shown by parents, students and teachers alike during the past almost two years when like the rest of the world the Anglo Arabic Higher Secondary School also had to bear the brunt of COVID-19 pandemic.
Ch Irshad M Khan said junior classes are very important segment in school education because here the kids get the basic education, which is very much helpful in achieving good results in board examinations later in their lives.
Nisar Nazish said that anything learnt by the kids at this stage helps them all the way in their lives.
