Thana culture to be changed: CCPO

LAHORE: Capital City Police Officer Additional IG Ghulam Mahmood Dogar has said police stations are the basic units of Police Department and the only source to maintain law and order and provide justice to the citizens.

All necessary measures are being taken and resources utilised to bring positive and public friendly changes in Thana Culture according to the vision of IGP Inam Ghani for the betterment of these basic units.

He said this during his surprise visits of different police stations here on Wednesday. CCPO visited PS Iqbal Town, Gulshan Ravi, PS Rang Mahal, Mochi Gate and police station Gawalmandi and inspected front desks, reporting and record rooms, lockups and other sections of these police stations. He listened to the complaints of citizens during his visit and issued orders for their immediate redress. The CCPO appreciated the performance of SHO Rang Mahal, SHO Gawalmandi and SHO Mochi Gate for better record management and timely disposal of applications at Front Desks. He directed the officers to counter the new trends in crimes through smart and citizens centric policing using latest techniques and skills.
