Islamabad: A dead body of an unknown person has been found from Ratta Hottar forest near Trail V under mysterious circumstances.
According to the details, the initial probe has clearly shown that it was not a case of any wildlife attack and the medical report would find out the cause of death of a man wearing shalwar kameez.
The witnesses revealed that the man was believed to have died some seven to ten days ago but it was hard to ascertain what happened to him in the forest area.
The social activists are advising the visitors to trek in groups on Trail V that is still open for them. This incident may cause a reduction in the number of visitors in the coming days.
It is pertinent to mention here that most of the trekkers visit Trail III and Trail V due to their unique location and green surroundings. The recovery of a dead body from Trail V is quite an unusual incident in this area. This trail is situated almost at the end of Margalla Road. The good thing about this 5-km trail is that it has an initial 1.8 km straight surface without any steep hike. So, people who cannot hike steep heights can easily enjoy its first portion without any difficulty.
The whole situation has resulted in the spread of rumours among the people and the presentation of the report by the police would clear the dust from this incident.
The Islamabad Wildlife Management Board (IWMB) has also made it clear that the dead man was not attacked by any wild animal and the police are probing the case and prepare its report in this respect.
It also stated that Trail V is still open for the visitors and trekkers and there is no danger of any animal attack on its designated route.
