IG for starting internship programme for students
LAHORE:IGP Punjab Inam Ghani directed to set up an internship office in the training branch to start internship programme for male and female students in police offices.
In this way able and serious students could learn police workings through effective supervision of all matters related to internship, IG issued these directions while presiding over a meeting on training matters at the Central Police Office on Friday.
He also constituted a four-member committee for scrutiny and selection of students for eight weeks internship, whose members would include DIG Training, DIG R&D, DIG Headquarters and DIG IT.
He said that students will be given the opportunity of research and internship in different police offices for research purposes of their degrees and projects so that they can get acquainted with the office and practical matters of police working and also improve the operational procedures by making recommendations and suggestions based on their observations.
