PESHAWAR: The University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar and British Council Pakistan have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for on-campus training.
Under the MoU, the former will collaborate with the latter in its project “Citizen Education and Community Engagement Programme–Active Citizens.”British Council Pakistan Country Director Peter Upton and UET Peshawar Vice-Chancellor Syed Imtiaz Hussain Gilani signed the document, said a press release.
The basic aim of this collaboration is to implement the British Council’s project at UET Peshawar as non-weighted three credit hours certificate course for undergraduate students and to develop capacity of the faculty members as facilitators by organising on-campus training.
Around 30 faculty members of the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Peshawar, completed five-day training on the project in August last.
Meanwhile, the Department of Computer Systems Engineering UET Peshawar with team of four trained facilitators successfully completed the first phase of the programme.
