Punjabi not language of abuses: Fakhar Zaman
LAHORE:World Punjabi Congress Chairman Fakhar Zaman has strongly condemned the remarks of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Sharif MNA Rohail Asghar about Punjabi language which he gave on the floor of the assembly the other day that hurling abuses is part of Punjab culture World Punjabi Congress Chairman Fakhar Zaman, in a statement,” said he condemned the irresponsible statement by the MNA. There are many other languages which I would not like to mention which are known as the languages of abuses.” He said Punjabi was not the langue of abuses. It the language of Sufis, language of tolerance, love and brotherhood, he said. Fakhar Zaman said, “I am surprised on the criminal silence of the Punjabi members on such remarks.” He maintained, “We have been struggling for the last 30 years that Punjabi should be given the rightful status like other languages of the provinces.
