Labour community demands increase in wages

Islamabad : President of the National Labour Federation (NLF), Shamsur Rehman has termed the budget proposals as economic murder of the labour community.
He was addressing a convention organised by the Iesco Labour Unity. President Labour Unit Raja Aashiq Hussain, chairman Mobarak Shah and General Secretary Tanvir Kazmi were also present on the occasion. He also demanded of the government to fix minimum monthly wages at Rs50,000.
The convention also passed a resolution demanding of the government to complete the National Industrial Relations Commission (NIRC) so that it could decide cases of the labour community. The resolution also demanded upgradation of Iesco employees and recruitment of their sons.
