Only 48pc of last year’s uplift budget used, says PML-N
LAHORE: PML-N Punjab spokesperson Azma Bukhari has said that only 48 percent of last year's development budget was used.
Responding to Makhdoom Hashim's press conference here Tuesday, Azma said that in the last two budgets, Makhdoom Hashim also announced construction of nine new hospitals in Punjab but so far PC-1 of any of the nine hospitals was not made.
The Punjab government passed a bill in the Punjab Assembly to establish six new universities but the construction work of these universities did not start even after three years, Azma maintained and added that the laws of these universities were repeatedly amended by the Assembly.
“The agricultural sector has been destroyed under a planned conspiracy,” she alleged and questioned that if Punjab had ample production of wheat and sugarcane then why the prices of flour and sugar were skyrocketing?
