Corona kills 15 more
LAHORE:Around 15 COVID-19 patients died and 139 new positive cases were confirmed in Punjab during the last 24 hours.
According to P&SHD report issued on Monday, the death toll reached 10,516 in Punjab, while confirmed cases became 344,065 in the province. Around nine deaths occurred in Lahore, which raised the toll to 4,241 in provincial metropolis.
After 10,516 fatalities and recovery of a total of 322,254 patients, 11,295 active cases still remain, who are either isolated at homes or under treatment at different quarantine centres and health facilities.
227,378 vaccinated: Around 227,378 citizens have been vaccinated in Punjab in the last 24 hours, said Secretary Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department Ms Sarah Aslam here Monday. The corona vaccination campaign is underway successfully across Punjab and total number of vaccinated people has reached 6,050,769. Around 479,967 healthcare workers across Punjab have received first dose of the vaccine and 268,988 have received the second dose.
