ISLAMABAD: Former federal finance minister Dr. Hafeez Shaikh parried a question about the budget for coming fiscal year.
When his response was sought about the claims of economic growth on Saturday, the former Senator, who is viewed as architect of prevailing fiscal policies of the incumbent government, avoided any reaction. Dr. Sheikh reminded that he is in the process of consultations about his future plans. “I am considering various options for the future course of action.”
He said that he has overcome the adverse impact of coronavirus, that he contracted last month, to large extent but signs of weakness do remain. Shaikh is living with his family in Karachi and recently visited his ancestral interior Sindh.
