Rs1.23b corruption reference: NAB takes Khursheed’s son into custody
SUKKUR: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Saturday took PPP leader Syed Khursheed Shah’s son Syed Farrukh Shah MPA into custody in Rs1.23 billion corruption reference.
After cancellation of his bail application by the Sindh High Court, Farrukh Shah moved the Supreme Court on Thursday but he was directed to surrender himself to the NAB court.
The counsel for Farrukh Shah withdrew his bail application and attended the court of Third Additional Sessions Judge Sukkur Misbahuddin in the absence of the NAB court judge on Saturday.
Judge Misbahuddin summoned the NAB Sukkur officials and after recording the arguments of prosecutor, he remanded Farrukh in the custody of NAB Sukkur.
The NAB will produce him in the NAB court Sukkur on Monday for further remand.
