Three people were wounded in firing incidents in the city on Friday. According to the Soldier Bazaar police, a man was wounded in a firing incident in the Soldier Bazaar area. The body was taken to the Civil Hospital, Karachi for medical treatment where he was identified as 24-year-old Osama, son of Mustafa. Doctors said the victim was in critical condition as he was shot in his head.
The police said the incident took place when the man was standing outside his house and unidentified persons opened fire on him. The incident apparently occurred over personal enmity, the police suspected.
Separately, 40-year-old Arshad, son of Naseeruddin, was wounded in a firing incident in Bhens Colony. Police said the motive behind the incident was yet to be ascertained. Further investigation is under way.
Separately, 25-year-old Shaheryar, son of Ibrahim, was wounded in a firing incident that took place near Murtaza Chowrangi within the limits of the Awami Colony police station. The police said the incident took place over when the man offeried resistance during a mugging bid.
