LAHORE:After witnessing scorching heat accompanied with unscheduled outages, city may witness rain during the next 48 hours.
Met officials said that seasonal low lies over north west of Balochistan and its adjoining areas while moist currents from Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal were approaching upper and central parts of the country. They predicted that dust-thunderstorm/rain was expected in upper/central Punjab, Upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan while isolated heavy falls and hailstorm were also likely during the period. They said hot and dry weather was expected in other parts of the country. Friday’s maximum temperature was recorded at Nokkundi and Dalbandin where mercury reached 48°C while in Lahore, it was 42.7°C and minimum was 28.7°C.
