Two perish in road crashes
Two people lost their lives and one other was wounded in road mishaps in the city on Thursday. A man riding a motorcycle died after a speedy dumper hit his two-wheeler near the Northern Bypass within the limits of the Manghopir police station. His body was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for an autopsy where he was identified as 31-year-old Habibur Rehman, son of Habib Gul.
Separately, an elderly man died while he was crossing a road in Muhabbat Nagar within the Malir City police remits. The casualty was taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre. He was identified as 70-year-old Feroz Khan, son of Pir Muhammad.
Meanwhile, 40-year-old Amir Ali Khan was wounded in a road crash within the jurisdiction of the Civil Lines police station. He was taken to the JPMC for medical treatment.
