CM wants School of Aviation Training made functional

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has directed the officials to devise an operational model for making the School of Aviation Training and Services Centre at Akora Khattak functional.

He said this while chairing a meeting, said an official handout.

Administrative secretaries of the departments concerned, Air Commodore Muhammad Khurram Shehzad, Managing Director of Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority and other relevant senior officials attended the meeting.

Briefing the forum about the progress so far made on above-mentioned projects, it was told that the School of Aviation Training and Services had been established, now it needs to be made operational.

The chief minister directed the officials to finalize the strategy to complete the establishment of meat processing training and production plant projects.

Mahmood Khan directed the officials concerned to revise the PC-1 of the project and frame operational and business model and get it approved from the relevant forum at the earliest.

The chief minister directed that all the prerequisites and arrangements should be finalized and responsibilities of departments/entities concerned clearly defined to run the project in an effective manner.

The participants of the meeting were informed that Rs142.755 million had been released for the procurement of equipment for establishing meat processing training and production plant.

The chief minister stressed the need for adopting a realistic approach towards establishing the meat processing plant and directed the concerned quarters to prepare a detailed concept paper after consultation with all stakeholders.

He said the main objectives of the project must be kept in mind while devising a strategy for the establishment of the meat processing plant.
