Father of Captain Karnal Sher Khan Shaheed passes away

SWABI: Muhammad Khurshid Khan, father of Captain Karnal Sher Khan Shaheed, the recipient of the highest gallantry award Nishan-e-Haidar, passed away after protracted illness on Saturday. He was 85. The deceased was laid to rest in the Faujoonabad graveyard in Karnal Sher Khan village. A large number of people including government officials and notables of the area attended the funeral.
He has left behind two daughters and two sons, Sikandar Sher and Anwar Sher. The former is principal of Government High School in Mansabdar village in Swabi district.
His third son, Captain Karnal Sher Khan embraced martyrdom while fighting bravely in the battle for Kargil in 1999.
