Veiled freedom

The Canadian government recently reversed a decision of the lower court which prohibited women from wearing the niqab in the country. Given that Canada is a multicultural society, its courts should not deny people their religious freedom and rights.
Restricting one’s cultural freedom automatically puts the government at risk of alienating that particular population segment. This was a praise-worthy move and other countries should follow suit.
