LAHORE: The Pakistan Sunni Tehrik’s Ulema Board on Saturday described Daesh as Khawarij and said the extremist group had no relation with Islam.
A decree signed by over 100 religious leaders says that peace and terrorism cannot go together and the organisations like Daesh and Taliban are causing serious damage to the Muslims.
Daesh - a terrorist group which defaced Islam’s image - should be eliminated at the earliest, said the decree issued by the provincial office of Sunni Tehrik. It urged the Muslims to unite against the Khawarij, saying the role played by Al-Qaeda and Daesh was causing anxiety among the whole mankind.
Maulana Mujahid Abdul Rasool, Sahibzada Raza-e-Mustafa Naqshbandi, Allama Sarfraz Sialvi, Allama Riaz Hazarvi, Mufti Asif Saeed Qadri, Mufti Abrar Ahmed Attari, Allama Asif Chishti and others signed the decree.
