PESHAWAR: Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan’s Journalism Department will enter into the “digital age” with the launch of online news platform,’ Awkum Voice (AV)’.
The modern, trendy, exciting and real-time AV will be updated seven days a week. The students and staff will contribute the latest original stories, reports and features for AV in text and audio and visual formats, said a press release.
The focus will be Awkum but AV will also write and produce content about wider issues of public interest. A working journalist Muhammad Shahid will edit Awkum Voice along with a team of other professionals.
The students and editorial team will follow standards to make AV a beacon of light for future journalists and Pakistani journalism in large.
The J & MC students were advised to send story ideas and stories to Shahid by November 27. His email address is: shahid152001@yahoo.com. The stories will be needed on a regular basis.
