SACH holds orientation session on ‘World Children’s Day’

In an endeavour, SACH - Struggle for Change has conducted an orientation session for students of Basic Education Community School, Pindora, Rawalpindi, in commemoration of the World Children's Day on Friday, says a press release.
The session was delivered to 114 students of primary level about child rights and responsibilities in relation to the World Children's Day.
Saba Gul, psychosocial counsellor of SACH gave a brief introduction of the organisation and shared with audience that the organisation is devoted to the cause of upholding human rights. The discussion took place within the context of World Children's Day. The purpose of the activity was to sensitize the participants about various issues arising in the context of Pakistan that are faced by the children of our country.
A session by Tayyaba Tahir, senior psychosocial counsellor and Saba Gul, highlighted the disturbed psychological patterns in children due to deprivation of basic human rights and ways to deal with such problems.
The participants were encouraged to take active part in the discussion, where they shared various problems they face in routine life. The discussion was directed in a way to assist the participants find solutions to their problems by them.
In her concluding note, Tayyaba Tahir shared that the organisation has been working for the children since its inception. SACH has been at the centre-stage for ratification of "United Nations Child Rights Convention" by Government of Pakistan. She shared that the activity was part of SACH's interventions for street living and working children under its Child Protection programme. The discussion will not only highlight the situation of child rights observance in the country, but will also help develop a better understanding regarding child rights and their conditions among human rights activists working for the cause.
SACH - Struggle for Change is non-government, non-profitable organization working to exterminate torture and violence from society and to protect marginalized communities. SACH has been closely collaborating with various international organizations and embassies on human rights issues including child rights issues. These collaborations range from implementing partnerships with various international donors.
