LAHORE
An accountability court on Friday handed over Muhmmad Ramzan, President Tehsil Bar Tandleanwala, to the NAB Punjab on 14-day physical remand, for receiving bribe for solving cases pending in the NAB.
Meanwhile, the court has granted four days physical remand of another accused Muhammad Akram in the same case. The NAB had arrested Muhammad Ramzan, president Tehsil Bar Tandlianwala, district Faisalabad, over charges of pretending to be a lobbyist on behalf of the NAB. The accused had been receiving bribe from accused persons involved in different cases under process in the NAB on different occasions on fake promises of getting their cases solved. The lawyers present in the premises during the court proceeding acted aggressively. They tried to attack the NAB officials and prosecutors. Further, the lawyers acted unprofessionally and unethically in the court and also disgraced and manhandled the NAB Lahore’s investigation officer.
