Napa to stage young directors’ festival from Nov 18
Karachi The National Academy of Performing Arts (Napa) is to sponsor a festival of young directors, involving fresh graduates of the academy, from November 18 to 29. This is meant to provide a platform to the fresh graduates to showcase their talents and indulge in experimentation and innovation.

The National Academy of Performing Arts (Napa) is to sponsor a festival of young directors, involving fresh graduates of the academy, from November 18 to 29.
This is meant to provide a platform to the fresh graduates to showcase their talents and indulge in experimentation and innovation.
This was announced at a press conference by Zain Ahmed at Napa on Thursday afternoon. The first play of the series will be Khalid Ahmed’s “Khel, Khel Mein”, to be directed by Akbar Islam.
The festival will feature a total of six plays, which will be presented on two consecutive evenings at 8pm. Other young directors include Shehzad Jalbani, Hammad Sartaj, Farhan Alam, and Kashif Hussain. Among the plays that will be featured would be Ibsen’s Ghosts and will be directed by Kashif Hussain.
Also, on November 13, a play, Iron Man, will be staged in collaboration with the British Council at Napa, which is an attempt to bring disabled people into the mainstream. In this regard, there will be further collaboration with the UK and Germany.
