The Roots Millennium Schools held the inauguration ceremony of The Millennium University College (TMUC) to further its academic mission by providing transnational education through a range of international qualifications to the youth of Pakistan, says a press release.
The ceremony, arranged at The Millennium University College, H-11/4, commenced with the reception of the chief guest, British High Commissioner Philip Barton, by TMUC Chief Executive Chaudhry Faisal Mushtaq, the dean of academics and the head of international programmes.
The chief guest was given a tour of the campus by Executive Director Anna Faisal. She showed him various departments, classrooms and other facilities, including library, gymnasium, students lounge, cafeteria and the auditorium.
In his welcome speech, Chaudhry Faisal Mushtaq thanked the distinguished guests for gracing the occasion while reflecting on the Roots Millennium School's mission and commitment to bring quality education to the Pakistani youth so that they can confidently meet the global challenges of the 21st century.
Sharing his views on the occasion, British High Commissioner Philip Barton congratulated Faisal Mushtaq and his team on establishing a world-class institution to promote quality education in Pakistan. During the campus visit, he was amazed to see the technology laboratory and Fashion Laboratory and Studio. He was pleased that the students studying the UK degrees will have an environment to match the quality education they receive.
The speeches were followed by the chief guest unveiling the inauguration plaque and presenting high achievement awards to The Millennium University College staff followed by an outstanding display of fireworks.
In the end, the guests enjoyed an electrifying instrumental music performance by the popular music band 'Khumariyan'.
