PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has assured to take all possible measures for reviving the lost glory of The Fazle Haq College Mardan on sustainable grounds. Accepting the proposals and demands presented by the college administration, he said the government would also consider the issues of the service structure for the college faculty and staff, necessary facilities including laboratories and solar system, rehabilitation of the deteriorating college buildings, establishment of girls campus and other affairs in the Board of Governors meeting to be convened shortly. Addressing the Founders’ Day ceremony of the college on Saturday, the chief minister said that though the college had been passing through rough times, the sincerity, professionalism and acumen of the faculty and staff members had kept its glory alive. Provincial Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education Muhammad Atif, MNAs Dr Imran Khattak, Ali Muhammad Khan and Mujahid Khan, officers of the district administration, the faculty and staff members, students and their parents and other dignitaries attended the function, said a handout. The college principal, Muhammad Riaz Khan, in his welcome address, highlighted the history, current activities, achievements, and future plans of the institution and also presented demands for resolving the issues being faced by the college. The chief minister said the zeal and passion of the college’s founding members were remarkable for raising education rate in the area. He also gave away prizes to the students who showed marvellous performance in different curricular and co-curricular activities.
