The tournament has been organised by Pakistan Judo Federation in collaboration with Punjab Sports Board and Punjab Judo Association. The championship will be fought in seven weight categories: Under-40, -44, -48, -52, -57, -63, -70 Kg and Open.
Teams from all four provinces, FATA, Islamabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan have reached Lahore to take part in the tournament.
Pakistan Judo Federation secretary general Masood Ahmad said the main objective of organising this championship was to hunt talent and provide a platform to female judokas to display their skills.
