KARACHI: Chevron Pakistan Lubricants (CPLPL) is sponsoring a sports day event which will be held on Thursday (today) at a school run by The Citizens Foundation here in Taiser Town.
The event will include a funfair for 200 TCF primary schoolchildren and a regional cricket tournament for TCF secondary school children.
Muhammad Najam Shamsuddin, Country Chairman CPLPL, will be the chief guest for the occasion and Chevron employees will volunteer to help with the various activities at the event.
Chevron has an established and valuable partnership with The Citizens Foundation (TCF), which runs a nationwide chain of more than 1000 schools providing equal opportunities for learning and formal education to deprived children.
Chevron has been an active supporter of TCF schools for many years, playing a vital role in promoting the cause of quality education for underprivileged children in Pakistan.
Recently, the partnership was further strengthened when Chevron Pakistan Lubricants (CPLPL) signed an agreement with The Citizens Foundation to fully support a TCF school in Khanewal, Punjab and also donated a computer laboratory to a TCF school in Jhang, Punjab.
The Sports Day event, to be held as a part of the Chevron-TCF partnership, will highlight Chevron’s firm commitment to support education and create learning opportunities for youth in Pakistan.
CPLPL is a positive contributor to the country’s economic growth and has recently implemented social investment programs in primary school education and environmental development.
