Punjab Minister for Minority Affairs and Human Rights Khalil Tahir Sandhu has said that Rs 200 million have been allocated for scholarships of minorities’ students in the budget of current fiscal year. The minister said that three thousands of applications of students had been received by Minority Affairs and Human Rights Department for scholarships and a special sub-committee was checking the applications in which educational scholarships would be given to students studying in various educational institutions. —Correspondent
