A man killed his mother and stepfather over a property dispute in the Naseerabad police limits on Tuesday.
Police have removed the bodies to morgue for autopsy and registered a case against the accused. The deceased were identified as Hafsa Bibi, 48, and Khalid Mehmood, 50, residents of Makkah Colony. The accused was identified as Imran.
Police said the victim had a property dispute with his mother. He had arguments many a times on the issue. On the day of incident, he came to their house, exchanged harsh words with them and opened fire on them. As a result, they received bullet-injuries. They were shifted to a nearby hospital where doctors pronounced them as brought dead.

Police said the victim was returning home after seeing their relatives. As they reached near FC Underpass, a fast-moving vehicle hit them.
As a result, they received injuries. They were shifted to a nearby hospital where doctors pronounced Amna as brought dead.
Couple held: A team of Anti Human Trafficking Cell (AHTC) of the FIA Lahore on Tuesday claimed to have arrested a couple on the charge of sending people abroad illegally.
According to FIA officials, Arshamedus Qamar and his wife Janefer were arrested for their alleged involvement in the illegal smuggling of people to Europe.
The FIA claimed that the couple was also proclaimed offender as well as court absconder. The husband and wife, according to FIA, were also wanted by FIA in seven cases of human smuggling. Further investigations were underway.

He said that strict action would be taken against aerial firing and displaying of arms.
He directed the police to give security cover to the rallies, identify trouble spots, reconcile between the candidates having old enmities and warn them to cooperate with the police.
He further ordered the launch of crackdown against drug pushers, gamblers and proclaimed offenders, carry out search operations and set up pickets to check bikes and cars.
